The lenses on the right are my regular lenses, my go-to glass. They’re great for portraits taken outdoors or with additional lighting, which is primarily how I shoot. They’ve also spoiled me. The lenses on the left (rented from the fabulous folks at borrowlenses.com) are the ones I like to use for indoor weddings – they’re great in low light and their wide aperture gives a really nice softness to the background. They are also HUGE.
The bride-to-be asked me how I was going to shoot the ceremony. Being familiar with the church and its layout, I just told her, “I will be moving around a lot. Like, a lot.” And carrying these babies around for seven hours will be like having a job and a gym plan all-in-one.
